Majidea zangueberica (also known as the mgambo tree, black pearl tree or velvet seed tree) is a small tree of the family Sapindaceae such as Lychees, Horse Chestnuts or Guarana.

The plant is a semi-deciduous shrub or tree with a dense, conical crown. Sometimes a shrub growing only 2 metres or more tall, it can reach reach large tree size and specimens up to 25 metres can be found in the coastal forests of Kenya.
